Naw, airports aren't allowed here, we're Amish folk. This computer is hidden in the basement or they'll take it away for ritual burning.

Is it typical behaviour for Dutch to put codes for MSN smileys everywhere even if they're aware of the fact these don't work everywhere? :S I rarely see people from other countries do it...
I'm more used to using than the lower case not because I use it as code but because I always use it in email that way (where they aren't converted at all -I still use plain text only for email and want to keep it that way). Remember smilies didn't used to be 'code' but used to be just printed out as : ) (with space or it will turn into a graphic ). Also on at least one board I post the code is with a capital P.... Hm, I suppose I could look and see if that board happens to be a Dutch hosting company but I'm a bit too lazy for that I didn't know they were considered to be 'MSN' smilies -I never use MSN at all.
true.. msn is just an app, it has nothing to do with the smilies. anyway not the original ones.. but eh, i kinda live near deventer now.. little village called 'almen' next to lochem.. are there lads around from enschede/hengelo?
W O W .. Fuck Allex.. Je engels is echt slecht.. Hoe kan jij in Jeshua´s naam een voldoende halen... wreede voor iedereen...
Haha, I understood that! But not the rest... I'm not dutch, and I speak english because, well, I'm half irish.... And other french speak english because : 1/ For school.. 2/For pleasure of learning other languages (english because it is really easy compared to spanish, Italian, German...etc-even french have some troucbe with french) 3/ And for international relationships. Yes, English is spoken through the hole world. Because, there is many english speaking countries (England, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, U.S.A..) and because the 1st economic power is english speaking... But other languages won't be forgotten. They'll be always spoken, latin and ancient greek are taught in schools, and they would still be spoken were it not for invasion and evolution. French is latin, after all. No languages can disapear now, there's proof of languages every where! biz moony
Well, I wasn't really aiming at the upper case / lower case letters, but just the frequent appearance of ": )", ": P", "; )" etcetera by young Dutch people on message boards worldwide. Their posts are often literally saturated by smileys, converted or not (if it's converted depends on if the codes on the board are similar to that of MSN, it seems). Even I have this, maybe not row after row of it, but still more often than any random international forum user. I don't always take the time to choose one of the forum's own smileys but type what I'm used to from messenger services. This is all quite useless to think about of course but I suddenly noticed and it struck me as peculiar. I also use ": P" instead of ": p" because ": P" looks better. MSN converts both ": P" and ": p" to graphic smileys so that's not relevant.
