What would be good enough reason?

I live in the east but I'm probably going to move to Amsterdam this year.

I know it is taboe but ehm...hey I really like english (shame shame so much for dutch nationalism)

 

We'll for one thing Mejiro gym in amsterdam... it's where my role model Remy Bonjasky trains.

And its the DJ capital of the world.

Plus I could hang out with my friend velvet.

It'd be a really nice place to live... but I've heard its really hard to immigrate to anyway.

I'd love to visit though... just hope I wouldn't go too overboard.

 

Yeah it's kinda hard to move to Amsterdam.. but I'm gonna live with my bf who's been on the waitinglist for about 10 years and that makes it somewhat easier.. luckely..

Would be awesome if you could visit.. I'd make sure you won't get lost

I think calling stuff achterlijk is just as useless as calling people a ploert or a schoft... anyway, I only have respect for people that have respect for others themselves (dus NIET Wilders).

And I do not have respect for countries. Why not? Countries are human-defined lines on maps, and I don't see why I should pay repect to that. I do have respect for the people worth respecting, no matter what country they're in. The achievement of legal grass is the work of the Dutch people, not the country. And Dutch are just like all other people: de meesten verdienen respect, some sadly don't.

And if I want to call someone a ploert or a schoft or even a vlegel or a schavuit voor mijn part, then I will do so (vrijheid van meningsuiting, remember!), but at least I don't say these things based on where the subjects of my silly ancient swearwords are from.

So yeah, I know that Dutch people don't dance on klompen, but you've got to admit, ze zitten wel fucking lekker! ^_^ Too bad I don't have any...

Quite interesting how we dutch mix up all the languages. :H
I mean, we all kinda hate our language while there is this beautiful simple language 100km to the west called: English.

We are being raised in a english-only world.
Cause of the web, the simplicity of the language, tv, books.. you name it.

Anyway, i believe that our language will fall..not now, but in matter of time. If you are bored, try and seek it.. search for the english-invasion of our language, it's kinda cool to see. Good Luck

True.. kinda.. but there will always be people who'll cherise the language.. 'cause Dutch is a very rich language and the only reason why people/youth don't see that anymore is because their vocabulair get's flushed with english words.. which is ok as a second language, but it's too bad that kids these days can't even spell anymore. Personally.. I like languages and I cherish my own.
