I believe the punishment for this offense is limited to IP ban. There are short term user name bans which you can still read threads and could create a second name to post, but avoiding a ban is technically another offense that is punished with a ban.

Don't get me wrong, I think smokindude is a good kid and i like how he's improved his interactions on the forums the last couple months. I, myself, am not going to contact mods and argue for a IP ban. But rules are necessary for things to function
