The first thing: Hitler has been one of the biggest murderers of this world! If he ate meat or didn't, if he took bath or didn't.. that's not important.

But as far as anyone knows he was also an anti-semite all his adult life, and he joined the army when the war started.

So maybe he could be considered the worst example of what happens when hippies allow themselves to succumb to fear.

 

I don't understand you! How can you think about somebody as Hitler, that could be probably a hippie... or if hippie means somebody who kills milions of people just because of their race.. ok, so then I'll probably hate hippies.

 

Being a hippie is more of a lifestyle than a set of beliefs. The counterculture is simply too diverse to tie to any one belief system. Some of the biggest racists I know also smoke pot and wear tye-dye.


For all the love in these forums there is also a great deal of hate. When people remove themselves from the mainstream, extremism can manifest in both benign and dangerous ways. The anti-establishment rage in vogue in the West can easily be redirected to a different label like Jews, communists, Christians, whoever.

Hitler is merely one example of how dangerous the desire to reshape the society can be if not moderated, and if there is one thread that binds hippies together it is their willingness to experiment.

 

sometimes god has localized natural disasters that wipe out races of people... do you hate god? if you do, you can't be a hippie cuz hippies are supposed to love everybody
