P.S. As much as hippies are dumb...the idea that organic farming is more wasteful and less productive than farming that converts entire eco-systems into food exclusively for the growth of the human bio-mass is about at scientific as intelligent design.

I don't see any here... certainly I'm not one. Is not what you're aiming your missive at the posers? Does not the status of poser defeat the credibility and make this whole discussion moot? Perhaps Skip is one but I think he knows what he's talking about. Who really are the hippies?... and who exactly were you looking up to as you were growing up? Was it just a group of posers? Perhaps you've grown wise enough to see them as they are but it is you who are mislabeling them?

The "hippies" are simply those who describe themselves as "hippies". I guess that they would be posers, but everyone who labels oneself ends up being a poser one way or another. One can even argue that we are all posers in a way as humans. All in all, they are full of shit, whoever they are.

 

Land where fertility and stability is preserved, water retention is superior, rivers are not prone to pollution or algal blooms, biodiversity is preserved, soil erosion is reduced...

Maybe this is backward thinking...but we have an employment surplus in western cultures do we not? What is wrong with something that creates a need for more human labour, something other than creating bogus jobs like PR and HR, Sandwich artist or stockbroker...and something that retarded people can do? (Lulz)

I get what you mean about basic, mass, human survival and I think there may be some instances where we need to consider the efficient supply of food to ridiculous amounts of people, at the same time, specifically within western cultures where population growth is becoming stagnant, I think organic farming is a fantastic exercise, and something communities and individuals should get involved in.

 

well, we need to stop having a conscious and let fuckers who can't feed themselves die. i may get slammed for saying this, but it is natural selection, and is an unfortunate fact of life. population stabilization....
