Actually, if you really think about it, being a hippie today is a better idea than it has ever been. Considering the various implications of Peak Oil on our future, becoming more independent from the corporate world is a very good idea.

People who wanna distance themselves from the corprate world should be free to set up little colonys or something... but theres really not much of another alternative.
