Hey every one out there from the Good Earth Commune and Haight in general. I have been known as Sky since I was 13yrs old. That was a mer 40 or so yrs ago. I used to drive my Silver & Black Peterbuilt conventional semi truck down Haight every night after work, from '76 to '80. Does anyone out there remember Doc Love, Mouseman, Burgy, Rotten Ron, Pockets or me. Places of interest: Psalms Cafe, Palm Al Bar, Love Burgers, the Theater club Bar or just hanging out in the Pan Handle or on Hippie hill?
Does anyone remember Haight when it was a one way street?

How about nicknames like: Doc Love, Mouseman, Burgy, Rotten Ron, and Pockets.

Now those are what I would call real nicknames!

My nickname was Grindal. I'm not really sure where it came from. I was also sometimes called Gwendolyn.

It's funny everybody just naturally called me Hippie or some variation (Hipster, Hip-Hop, etc.). I also joke that I'm every punks hippie friend. I can't count the number of times I've heard my friends go "Fuckin' hippies. Not you J. but those other fuckin' hippies."

    Stay Brown,

Thanks, I was thinking this, but being born in 1984 I couldn't qualify it. Yeah, the push for peace and tolerance and living and letting live isn't over. If it is whats with all this war and hate?
