Hello there from Yorkshire.
Seems that I'm a bit older than others on here, but what the hell it's just a number and everything still works albeit with an occasional click or groan.
Been married to the same girl for just over 30 yrs, had a couple of brief breaks but wouldn't swap her for owt I can think of.
Couple of kids aged 26 and 23, both left home and moved back again, ah well I did miss them while they were away, honest!!
Used to work for a living with proper responsible jobs with prospects but became very disillusioned and mightily pissed off and several years ago became a bus driver, best job I've ever had, should have done it years before.
Politically I'm sort of middle of the road, hate the government becoming too involved in my life, identity cards they can shove where the sun don't shine, I am made to feel like a social outcast because I'm stupid enough to smoke and I never had the slightest desire to kill a fox until they told me I couldn't. On the other hand why privatise something like public transport that'll never make a profit as long as I've a hole in my arse. Why are so much of our energy and fuel needs now in foreign hands?
Favourite foods are fish, meat pies and pasties, don't really like vegetables I'm afraid.
Drugs of choice are, cask conditioned beer, or any decent beer or lager if the real thing ain't available, single malt whisky and Plymouth gin. I've tried the other illegal mind altering stuff over the years but they haven't done much for me so I'll stick to alcohol and fags.
Interests, current affairs, history (should be compulsary, or made relevant and interesting in schools so we could learn from previous mistakes and not repeat them and also have some appreciation of how we got to be where we are today), football and music. Favourite band are the Levellers, really like them, been to see them a couple of times and will see them again when they're up north, listening to them as I compose this, Leave this Town playing right now.
Pet peeves are ignorance and litter, can't do with either.
Guilty secrets are that I like steam trains and Shakira.
That's quite enough self indulgent rambling for now, looking forward to exchanging thoughts and ideas in future.

and even tho im still far gone and removed frm reality as they know it im back.

Claire plz call me my dear or email me or send a telegram or some form of communicatioon as i want to see you and btw that picture of you under the tree pissed as you were but always smiling was taken by who sitting up in the tree i know i was in the tree for sure for a lot of the night hanging cnadles in beer cans all over it only to be told it was a fire hazard by security who had actually climbed up to inform us to behave ourselves and find some other form of amusement.

About 4 years ago i got into protesting right on the front line living in trees and making myself as heard as possible all over the the country. lots of water has flown under the bridge. i got a truck a couple of years ago and hid in it the woods in scotland. And continued protesting and working on street performance and other events, around this time i got in the truck and went down to spain where i have been for a couple of years

this what i did and this is what im now going to do here, i left my truck down in spain as it would cost more to bring it back than to buy another one. obviously there has been lots of adventures aloong the way and at one point i neary killed myself with a wee accident involving me head and a one inch thick glass door which was a bit unpleasant at the time and was really quite messy. Took a bit to recover from that one. Well earlier in the year i came back and have been in hiding just recuperating the road and the times did take their toll and needed time chill away from everything.

So now im back. and i have things to do and people to see and times to talk about and things i wished i had done and said, to now say and do and things i never knew how to do p-roperly to now do. or attempt. failure comes not from trying and failing but failing to try.

I see the core is still here and new people have dropped in.

Yeah i kinda miss it there.

Anyhoo i never noticed this until it was like bright blue and yeah... I never knew we had a intro thread. Hmmm Im currently 14, Im female (or am i?? i really could be lying.) and yeah. I LOVE music.

Been here ages and never actually noticed this thread People call me Maxi, and im rather a thoughtful being escaping the noise down here in my basement flat. I have this ridiculously tiny body and share my time mainly with a wonderfully kind gentleman called Scott, and 5 house rabbits

Me and Scott are getting married in March and im hoping to get a degree in something or other at some point, or at least begin yet again trying to get some sort of career going. Im kind of a very social spirit trapped in a bruised-by-society shell, you know? I love meeting friendly people. I love travel. I love to learn.

Uhm...i read lots, i can cook although rarely do, as i eat mainly raw foods. I want to be of use and of help to others, which i guess is my drive although i rarely get to express it. Ive unfortunately spent lots of time alone so my mind tends to wander, so dont take offence if ever i forget to talk for a time. Im stupid like that
