same here. actually, my class was a little less than half this size.

we did have vague semblances of some minor cliques, basically the jocks, nerds, rednecks and vocational school kids. but all those cliques overlapped with each other and everyone hung out together.

Friends 'with benefits' i reckon

 

I will dance with any woman so gracious as to accept the invite. A dance is just a dance.

 

In the 90's (my 'highschool' years) I was a hardrocker and thus lumped in with the 'alto' (alternative) clique. This was a big group including everything alternative lol, from drum 'n bass and 90s house and electro to goth (90s emo ), punk, metal and grunge. At my school most cool kids where in this group too.

 

Never belonged to any clique, always did my own thing. Had friends in every clique though, i.e.
Geeks, jocks, pot heads, book worms, rebels, etc.

 

We mostly had a divide between 'squares' and 'alto's'. Nothing too rigid though.

 

so did the squares listen to square dance music?

 

I was an anomaly in high school.

I hung out with the punk rock kids, the goth kids, the gay kids--basically all the freaks. All the weird kids.

But I was also a cheerleader, so I was part of the cool kids as well. I miss high school sometimes. So much simpler...

 

I took a stripper to my prom.


Of course, she wasn't a stripper at the time. But 6 years later................

I wonder how many would really show up if such an event took place. Lets say, in a place like Vegas.

 

I feel like I'm the only person in the world who has no interest in going to Vegas.
