Hip Forums Age Limit?

    Theres no point to having an age limit because people can lie about their ages.

    I think 13 is an appropriate age limit for about all the content here. Making the erotica 18+ was probably a good idea.

    Skip, if you don't mind me asking, is this just do to what you think is best for this place, or are you worried about legal issues?

    Libertine does have a powerful arguement, but I am inclined to agree more with MikeE "If WE can't form an all ages community, how can we hope that the world will." And I'll add that there are indeed thoughtful young people out there whose voices deserve to be heard. ...Not to mention some of their elders who are major pains, but that's what moderators are for.

    moraly i don't believe there should be any. dominant tyrannical cultural reality being what it is, age of consent is a matter of survival. "legal issues" are the ONLY reason for age to EVER be one!

    No age limit. I didn't realize there was one here. Really, it's counterintuitive considering that this is a hippy forum. And get the government off the internet except to enforce copyright laws.

    I started here when I was 11 (lied about my age, obviously), and I'm really glad I started when I did because otherwise I wouldn't have turned out like I am. It took me a few years to really start learning who I am as a human being, and this stie really helped with that :
