I'm not really sure how I feel about this? But I will fess up that it would be really cool to finally see what a woman can do in the White House? God knows it's been pretty grim for a very long time
It would be nice to see a woman in the white house, but that is about as far as it goes for me. She sounds just like the rest of them, stands for the same things, etc. I watched her announcement video and it was filled with the same platitudes. I don't see her as a revolutionary, or particularly interesting figure.
I'm not American so I shouldn't really comment, but I don't like her.I'm all for women getting into politics but I've heard a few dodgy things about her.
In America men and women are equal , and her unbalanced ambition is to rule over you . Go support someone peaceful . She cackled heinously at the death of Ghadahfi .
That's pretty much how I feel. Even though I shudder at the thought of (remember when?) Sarah Palin winking at every reporter that asked her an intelligent question. I hope Hillary won't make the same mistake. I'm confident Hillary knows where Russia is. She's a smart woman. But I've lost all faith in politics. Democrat/Republican - same coin (two sides)
Yeah. It'll be nice to see a woman in the big chair but I think we'd be kidding ourselves to think it'll make a difference. Business as usual.
I'd like to see a woman in charge but I'm pretty over the Bush/Clinton royal lineage. It shouldn't be a dynasty. As far as what I think of her personally, she's much, much smarter and seasoned than Palin ever had a chance of becoming but, ideologically, she's the same as all of the males who have got us to where we are right now. If we're going to have a female president, I'd rather see her be Elizabeth Warren.
Yeah, that's what troubles me most. After all, she will have to cooperate/co-exist with a mostly male congress. So will the page ever turn? And if she tries to turn the page, will most of the men in congress insist that we stay on the same page (and never finish the book that could change the lives of many people for the better?) She strikes me as a really strong person, so I don't see her backing down. She might just wind up being a MUCH better president than Obama. This is what I hope for. We'll just have to wait and see. P.S. Sarah Palin made me sad to be an American...
Pacific, I was more embarrassed than ever to be an American with the whole Palin era...ugh...Hillary is more intelligent...i am not a particularly big fan of hillary's....but we may have a continuum of both the Clinton/Bush dynasty in the final race....I will take Hillary any day of the week over any Bush.
The fact that while she was an attourney, that she laughed about getting a child rapist off the hook, she knew for a fact to be guilty of his crime, says a lot about her. but worse, the fact we have such low standards as to vote for any of these ammoral entities we call politicians, speaks far more about us.
I like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren better but Hillary is a better choice than any Republican I've seen so far.
Ah yes, the champagne socialists, who tell the rest of us about wealth inequality. It's like people don't really give a shit, because they don't.
That is not even an issue for me. She had a job, she did it and maybe she felt good about doing it well. So what? Lawyers do that all the time. It's what they get paid to do. It's a job and if we want to hold that standard...I'm sure we can dig up all kinds of shit on lots of people in office. She isn't my favorite candidate for reasons that have nothing to do with her past jobs. If nothing else, at least she can say she did the job she was paid to do...for better or worse.
So she might be the first lady President....go, Hillary! Good for her....she knows the whole buisness now.....
