I have been running on this paved trail for awhile now and noticed some unpaved trails along the paved trails (They're a drop). I run over the bridge and notice a creek running through it, and you can just tell, its muddier than hell. Noted lol. Today I finally got to go barefoot this creek. It was 43 out so I didn't stay long although I wanted to.

I drove barefoot on the way back home, I decided to stop for some gas at my neighborhood market. I went to put my shoes on, but then I was like well F it, its just a pump, noones around (still foot shy). I stepped out, paid the pump, started the gas and paced back into my truck since its cold out. I loved the feeling though. That was my first time barefoot at a gas station, or anywhere "public" outside a pool for that matter. It felt cool, and some stickyness. I looked up at the market and was like, I need to grocery shop tomorrow, like any other sunday of the week. I typically go early to avoid crowds. In this instance of foot shyness and wanting to try barefoot in a store just to see, I have been getting more and more tempted the past few weeks.

Maybe tomorrow will be the day. The gas station was my 3rd little stepping stone to barefooting. 1st one being just showing feet in public, which although shy, I do it ALOT now. The 2nd was barefoot hiking, I have passed a few people, nerve wrecking, but once we pass each other by, I get all giggily. This one would be the third. It's still nerve wrecking for me as for its not a societal norm and I too once upon a time thought it was nasty as hell when I saw anyone doing it -but I never said anything to them. I still think BF'ing in public could be nasty, but I just know the feeling of the cool ground would be all to good.

    Have a good weekend all.

If you do go grocery shopping and you decide to go barefoot just remember be yourself act normal even though it will be a little nerve wrecking . Just act normal and think how good the floor feels under your bare feet . And you will see that nobody will notice that you are barefoot. And you won’t notice that you’re barefoot either . I use to be almost like you but i didn’t go the the store barefoot but I finally did I had a girlfriend that went with me to the store barefoot and she told me the same thing just act normal and everything will be alright and I did and she was right . Now I have been going barefoot for 32 going on 33 years barefoot I don’t own any shoes or socks and I go barefoot in the winter time even in the snow. I love the barefoot lifestyle and if you give it a chance I think you will to .

I agree. It helps if you don't look down at your feet.

Barefoot Rick, I would like to know how you can go barefoot in the snow and freezing conditions barefoot. How did you condition your feet to tolerate freezing temperatures? I am going barefoot outside regardless of temperature and my tolerance seems to be slowly increasing.

It takes time but one trick is to have your core your upper body warm and if you like wearing thermal underwear the bottoms it does help your bare feet stay I little bit warmer or even men’s leggings under your pants. But I have been going barefoot for so long over 32 years in all weather that I really don’t feel the cold on my bare feet. I snow blow in bare feet I go everywhere barefoot I do get some people that think I’m out of my mind and I have had the cops called on me to see if I’m ok . But I do love the cold weather and the heat . But when you do everything barefoot camping, fishing, hiking and I use to go hunting in my bare feet I do workout barefoot . So it does take time you will get there I have a feeling you will and it’s a great lifestyle.
