So what's the highest elevation above sea level in the state, county, province, country or whatever where you live? In Kentucky it's Black Mountain.
The Wrekin, Shropshire. At 407 metres, not that high, but it stands out as it's on the edge of a very flat area known as the North Shropshire Plain. It is an extinct volcano.
For Connecticut, it's the southern slope of Mount Frissell in Salisbury, on the Massachusetts border. The Connecticut elevation is 2,454 feet ASL. Sorry that I don't have my own picture of it, as I've never been in the town of Salisbury.
