i've never noticed that... maybe they're just looking down at the bowl so it looks like their eyes are closed?

 

i always keep my eyes open when i take a hit. if it's a joint/blunt/bowl/bong, my eyes are always looking at the smoke or the bowl burning.

 

I always feel like my eyes are going cross-eyed when I look at the bowl.And everyone can see cause the lighter!:&
