you've just fucking contradicted yourself. so first you tell us that acid doesn't have a taste so you're thinking that it's this other thing, just because it's one of many substances that has kind of a bitter taste? and THEEEEN you go on to say that acid sometimes has a metallicy bitter taste and why? okay please refrain from copying and pasting bits of information from various websites and sticking them in this thread because it looks that way, doesn't look like you know what you're talking about..

How bitter was the taste? was it slight or unbearable. If it was just a slight taste it could either be psychosomatic (you just put something in your mouth so your brain expects to taste something) or it could just be the paper medium (try eating a piece of old computer paper, just a corner, it has a slightly bitter taste).
I don't really think that taste would be a good way to tell what you took, rather the effects/ side effects/ experience 'curve' might be a better indication.
Look on erowid, they usually have some info about how long it takes to set in, peak, plateau and wear off, and this is different for most substances (DOC takes 2-3 days, acid takes about 8-10 hrs, IDK what 5-meo-X takes)
Also, there are usually side effects (Nasua is reported frequently with 5-meo-AMT) so check those to see.
