Well, it looks like we're getting there, 38 states with either medical, recreational, or both and the country hasn't collapsed, or the commies haven't taken over ( though things may be better if they had ). Anyway, I've been enjoying since September 1972, I know because that's when I started high school and all of the cool kids smoked. Of course, I wanted to be a cool kid, I wonder how many people I went to school with are using these days. I live in Mysery we got medical then rec and it's been a hot mess at the dispos everyone got greedy. I found a way around that with a grower. So, I'm an old dude, the last man standing as far as I know, I've had a long, interesting life, kicked cancer in the ass made it through some nasty crooked time in one piece, know better but still want to. These days I stay stoned and watch music on youtube. Hello everyone.
Hello the old ancient guy, you are still young and many other guys are like you here, and ready to share and talk about those glorious pass and unrepitable years with you
First time I smoked was 1958. I suppose if I been caught back then, I'd still be in jail!! Welcome from Oregon.
As for me 1972 was the year I graduated from high school. I started smoking pot trying to be cool, kept smoking it because I loved it! And I still do, living in Portland Oregon, a stoner's paradise! So welcome to HF! Wanna get high? Cannabis and Marijuana Hangout II | Hip Forums
Welcome. Back in Houston, 1979 they called us "Jellies" a reference to the notion that getting stoned is like turning your brain into warm jello. 7th grade for me. With kids from the gifted class or the kids who lived in my neighborhood who my brother hated me hanging out with because he thought they were "trashy." You could always tell a Jellie because they wore feathered roachclips on their belt. We all wore headbands, dashikis, beads and bell bottoms. I'd say that far enough behind in fashion to be the equivalent of 1972 except we had D&D. We listened to KLOL and joined up with Colonel Saint James and the Rock and Roll Army. The polar opposite of the Jelly was the Kikker. Pay close attention to three letters. Kikker, I guest were supposed to be "shit kickers" because they listened to a Country Station called (brace yourself) KIKK. And they either wore Confederate flag belt buckles and Lynrd Skynrd tee shirts or Lynrd Skynrd belt buckles and confederate flag tee shirts. Some Jellies and kickers were friends, some enemies, but most were frenemies. I don't live in Texas anymore, but weed is fully legal in my state and yeah its great and it feel like progress-- then you go running through Texas to get somewhere and it's like entering Nazi Germany or something. It seems so barbaric-- that which seemed so normal only a few years ago. Real culture shock in terms of weed. weed dealers you always got to wait. You get paranoid about police seeing you make the deal, you use code language (In New Mexico we used to ask if they know where to get some GREEN CHILLES)... There are not a lot of perks in these times. Being able to smoke a bowl on my front porch is one. Little known fact, Shrooms have been legal by court order since 2005 in New Mexico. You can only get in trouble for selling them. Completely legal to grow, use and possess.
I'm not sure they changed it since we went from just medicinal to fully legal. When it was medicinal you had to grow it in a secure indoor area or a locked cage or secure fence. I think they changed the grow limit or even stopped setting one. I am pretty sure it is no longer required by law to lock your plants down.
