Its short for malcolm and this itself is purely by chance I was meant to be born on paddy's day and my name was going to be Michel but was born a day later 18th march so me mam called me malcolm !!
I always hated that name growing up so everyone (including me mam ) had to call me Mally , I have grown into Mally and made it mine so now its OK

Hi, again, Mally. I never felt like a Heidi. It does not really suit me... I never grew into my name....and feel like an odd ball with that name....and always have....
I wish I was named Gracie instead.
