Alaska is an amazing place. I recently read James Michener's book, Alaska. It was a fasinating read starting at the geological beginnings, through the population of humans arriving from Asia becoming the native Alaskans. Then on to the Russian occupation, the Americans purchasing the area, and the subsequent Gold Rush... all the way up to modern times in the 1960s... A long but informative read. On another note, I once had Matanuska Thunderfuck weed. And it was just that... wildly strong, fun times!
