I guess I haven't done much to curb that instinct *shrug* he's been around a bunch of nasty, mean cats.

he loves people, licks little kids in the face, doesn't jump on them and knock them over, doesn't attack other dogs, and listens very well to my commands. that's all I'm worried about.

that's how I feel about law. it's a curse and a blessing to be drawn to something like that.

 

so long as he obeys you, i'm cool with that. if, however, you'd taught him that hurting small animals was wrong, i'd be concerned. my mom had a beloved dog that went off and started killing neighbor's chickens and they'd had to put it down the hard way. farming people and all.

we had to put trusty down because a woman knocked over my sister and trusty responded. the woman sued and we had to put her down. just because some dumb bitch had no consideration for a girl walking her beloved dog. just make sure that if a neighbor's cat gets out and your dog gets it that the neighbor never finds out. people aren't really reasonable. if my neighbor's dog killed my cat, i'd be really sad, but if my cat was stupid enough to get in the yard of a dog, well, that's not the dog's fault.

Yeah. I considered going to law school, but decided that I just don't have the necessary personality. Plus I don't feel like starting school all over again.

I agree with all that, and sorry to hear about your dogs. yeah.. this is definitely not a toy dog. I was heading to the beach on sunday, and at a traffic light was a crazy evangelical guy with a ventriloquist dummy strapped to his chest.. you wouldn't believe the crazy things that occur where the bible belt meets the drug belt.. anyway, he was walking directly toward my car, aggressively and yelling scripture, and my dog definitely warned him to back off.

as a mother i have also recognized my "scary ass bitch from hell will eat your face off if you approach my children" potential. it's amazing.
