The fact that I'll be somewhere for four hours every day for THREE months not 21-35 days... when you take out activites (and we had lots of them) and lunches, dinner, breakfasts, snacks, free time, sleeping...... hmmmm which comes out to be better? That's actually debateable..

Because you are a terribly weak person who looks for anything to swallow and stick into your body.

It's stupid of you to think that you don't need as much help as you require at this point. Very stupid indeed.

You know what Trish? You said a long time ago that you wanted to be a counselor, but couldn't because you had a criminal record. You could easily become a drug and alcohol counselor with a drug charge, most are recovered addicts.

Believe it or not I don't feel sorry for myself, nor do I ever. Sure I did when I was really sick the past couple days but not usually.

Anyways as for me not doing anything.... I spend at least three hours cooking a day, two hours cleaning and run errands....when I'm not sick, of course. Plus I'm going back to school soon so whatever.

How would suboxone help me? I know a girl addicted to THEM now and I Love subs.

At least I won't be able to get any more methadone because I won't be going to a place that has it.

And anyways I thought you liked to stay home and cook and clean and stuff? You have no idea how much work I actually do around here. I do every single thing..... well.....

But I do plan on getting a job soon....not that that is any of your business.

But yeah I didn't want anyone to feel sorry for me. I was just updating on what was going on cause I was SICK and thought I might go to rehab. I love how you all seem to know it all and outpatient- intense outpatient won't work for me.....

I don't believe you. You always feel sorry for yourself. Why else would you abuse drugs?

Trish, I wouldn't be so pissed if I didn't think you had so much to live for and so much to give this world. Don't waste it. Go get help and get it the quickest route possible.
Also, suboxone has an opiate antagonist in it, so if you do opiates with it you will get ill.

You already have an AA; right? I know in CA and NV you do not need a BA to be an addictions counselor, you just need to be enrolled in psych classes.
Maybe in rehab you can make some connections? VOlunteer there until you have enough experience to be a counselor.
It's time to stop what you are doing, it's not working.
It's like everytime you open door A you get hit on the head, but you still choose door A instead of door B, that has a bright future behind it AFTER you put some hard work in.
PS-I do love staying home and cooking and cleaning, but if I didn't work I would go nuts. I was addicted to pills when I didn't work or go to school.

Uh usually because they are fun and then because I start to need them? Why would I feel sorry for myself?

Yeah I have an associattes so yeah you could be right about just needing to be enrolled in classes. I already had an invite to work at this rehab center after I was clean for three months so when that happens I will ask the guy about it.

and that's cool. i wasnt trying to attack you. for me getting a job where i would get paid very little money makes no sense...espiecially til I get my beta blocker switched and stop having to sit with my head between my knees all the time but I am working on going to the doctor to do that...

Seriously what I wanna do is go back to school and get that job at the rehab center.

oh and yeah that is true about subs. but when i did them... omg... it felt just like dope to me. really really strong.

but i dont really have to worry about doing h again because two days of laying in bed, unable to really lay...throwing up, shaking, bugs under my skin was wayyy too much for me.

I don't. I was totally clean in April and May... well give or take a few days but I didn't drink at all and was sober most of the time... went to the beach in may and just smoked a couple bowls (sorry no one is gonna convince me smoking herb is that bad) and I had about the best time ever being sober.

It's not that I NEED drugs to have fun.... it's that for me.... they are just SOO fun that they are hard to resist. Espiecially when you have friends hitting up your phone every day wanting to get dope or drink.

Pick-up the phone, call Dan and ask him to check you into rehab for a 72 hour hold. Tell him you need him to be a strong husband and take control. It will bring you closer together and you will get the help you need.
    Commit to it. Do it.
He left because he feels helpless. Guys hate feeling helpless. Make him feel otherwise and you'll have your best friend back and help.

Because of when my birthday is in the summer (i love july and aug.) ive always done fun things... blah blah.... not so much because it's my birthday but a good time to pick something I wanted to do all summer and do it.... if I went to rehab.... i wouldnt be able to do shit this summer.

And anyways...how can you be sure an outpatient thing won't help me.... we also get counseling sessions (two a week), a plan and like I said it lasts three months... plus I am determined to make it work.

Some of you act like you know everything as a FACT.
