Hi everyone, My name is Mitch and I am new here. I am hoping to chat with like/open minded people and expand my knowledge and viewpoints on the world. I am excited about learning and hopefully meeting some friends. I live in Australia and enjoy rock climbing, surfing and learning about nature ✌️
Sorry Mitch.....But Australians Are Not Welcome Here.....History Shows They Are Bad News And Are Responsible For 99% Of Issues On This Site...... But If You Are Very Careful You Can Slip Under The Radar Like I Have..... Cheers Glen.
I'm serious, go on... What's your go-to board? What all is in your quiver? Where are your favorite surf spots in Australia? Got any favorite pro-riders? Ever surfed in the States? Inquiring minds want to know!
I mainly ride short boards. I have a 5'7 twin fin, a 5'11 standard short board, 7'6 mini mal, foamy mini mal, body board and hand plane. I would like to add a log to the quiver but how many boards does one really need. I really like Asher Pacey as a surfer he isn't on the tour but has awesome style. I live on the Mid North Coast of NSW and there are plenty of places to surf around here, I really want to do a road trip and explore more of Australia and its surf spots. Earlier this year I was able to surf San Elijo, Huntington Beach, Lake Jolla and a couple of other spots. Where are your favourite surf spots? Favourite surf althletes? Favourite board?
I'm old school. I do some shortboarding in the winter when the waves get bigger. But I'm a long boarder at heart. Love to surf Malibu and San Onofre. Great beaches for long boarders. I hope to one day get to Waikiki. I'll also hit up Huntington Beach once in while, or, if I don't have a lot of time, I'll see if there are any waves worth a damn off Santa Monica since it is the closest. I'm a big fan of Kelia Moniz and I have a crush on your own Layne Beachley. My favorite board is easily my my 9-6 Takayama single fin. Perfect for nose riding
