alright, well maybe i came across with the wrong impression. i am going to do what i want, and i was under the impression that "hippies" loved everything and everyone... and were open and accepting. the people on here i have met are not open and accepting. they hate people, and for no good reason at all. therefore, i do not respect most of you as i did before, and i am somewhat sorry i even bothered joining this website. thank you for ruining my impression of "you".

 

Well, the best way to explain the behavior is this way:

We get so many posts every couple of days/weeks of similar nature that we get tired of answering them. I would love to see a sticky placed up at the top of this forum that explains what a hippie is and isn't (in broad/stereotypical terms), and also state the hippie credo/motto. Then when people keep doing posts asking questions about what it is to be a hippie - they will be referred to the sticky and the thread will be closed.

It sounds harsh, but it would prevent the commentary.

Anyways - the point is, we get bored with the "I want to know all about you guys" line. So don't take too much stock in the responses - most of the people that responded like that do it for fun. You have to admit, they are amusing. Sorry if they hurt your feelings.

Stay around, ask questions, but just understand they might not get you the responses you are looking for. Feel free to PM me with questions, a lot of new people do.

Most of us don't like to be labeled. I know I don't...and just because people are on this site...doesn't necessarily mean they are "hippies"...in fact, some may argue that none of us on here are "hippies" because we are sitting here on computer (I could be one of them), among other things.

And I also don't think anyone hates anyone here. I mean, be real, none of us know enough about one another to feel any certain way...after all, this is just the internet...and sometimes we all just need to lighten up.

One thing that you'll learn by participating on this site, is that you can't take everything seriously...or you won't last long. Thick-skin is an important quality.

 

thank you for being so understanding. i had this same issue in middle school when some girl accused me of being a poser because i liked a punk song, but my life wasnt bad enough for me to appreciate it. thats how i felt here and thats why i got so offended by it. i definitely understand that i came across as a psychotic fanatic who knew nothing about what i was doing... i do, and i am sad that i started off that way. i wish people didnt assume i am like what i have posted because im not... i just started off the wrong way. i started off the stereotypical way. and yes. i know they can be amusing so i dont blame them. i just feel sad that i cant try again and reopen up because everyone already has a sickening first impression of me.

Sometimes it's best just to not post in the young hippies forum, as none of the conversing has anything to do with a relevant topic in the first place. Do I fuck up the weed forum by chatting with sirtokes back and forth all fucking day? No, but it's not exactly my cup of tea, either. I use AIM when I need to say something from one individual to another. Speaking of tea, I could go for some of that stuff.

If I were you, I'd start off on a different foot in a different subforum. It's not a big deal, anyways. There are still tons of topics for you to jump in on and share your opinions if you have some.
