7 Faces of Dr. Lao. It's about a chinese man who rolls into town with h traveling circus show. Things get weird...
Ya gotta read the flick in between the lines, man......there's more than meets the eye in a Ken Russell movie:afro:
it was just my personal opinion, yeah it was ok the first half and i was intrigued but the second half it was hard for me to finish it.. anyways a fucking awesome crazy ood movie i just watched... the NEW EVIL DEAD!!!! omg i was pleasantly surprised.
Perfect Blue. Craziest anime I've ever seen. It's rights were bought by Darren Aronofsky so he could base two scenes of Requiem for a Dream off of it; and it's said he later based Black Swan on it - but it's far deeper and more insane than Black Swan.
Is this the same flick that was shown on TV during the late 1970s? I read the book first - and liked the movie better. Totally creepy performances by the lead actors. I had nightmares for a week or two. Totally sad that Sharon Tate was killed while still pregnant. I read somewhere that she and her unborn child are buried together. Roman Polanski's life is just as tragic (and twisted) as his movies. I don't think even he could have imagined a script like Helter Skelter. Rosemary's Baby, yes. Helter Skelter, no... QP
Yep, that's it....I get what ya mean up there, but it just goes to show that hippyland (if ever one existed, is like Stephen King's Joyland...."there are always 2 sides to every medal..." / Ying & Yang)):afro::love:
This one spawned loads of terrifying horror flix since it was born....in the 60s....perhaps the horror movie with the longest title ever...........
Charles Beaumont's (1990) 'Brain Dead' freaked me out....ooh must re-watch that film. I haven't seen Pi so am gonna give that a go next, oh and Brazil. Great thread. Don't think I can really add much to it, my faves are Cronenbergs' naked lunch and lynchs' eraserhead, Dr Strangelove... how about existenz (Cronenberg)? Oh and once my bf put on funky forests and I don't think I'll ever recover from it!!!
THX-1138. Blade Runner. Catch 22. Revolution 9. I haven't had the Sundance channel for a long time, but you can't go wrong with it.
