I used to LOVE this stuff and lately it seems like its gone down hill!!!! Starting with MOST of the bottles marked 6/2016 and after (Expiration date) it isnt as sweet as it was.... I dont know if they have lowered the sugar or what but its gross!!!!! THEY DIDNT CHANGE ANYTHING ON THE BOTTLES so I assume they are "experimenting" themselves to see if anyone complains before they offically change the bottle....... I emailed them a few weeks ago but they didnt respond I may try again -- I BETTER DO JUST THAT IF I DONT WANNA LOSE IT!!! The other day I found 2 6/2016s and 2 4/2016s which is good.....
Hershey used to taste so good 10 years ago, now I can't stand the taste. I prefer this dark chocolate I get at the local food co-op I'm a huge fan of peppermint, it's a dark chocolate candy bar with peppermint bark in it. MMM!
yeah, I noitced the bottle I have tasted bitter.....i wondered what that was....i like sweet stuff, too....

Hershey has changed its formulas a number of times. The latest one is a reduction or elimination of corn syrup to be replaced with sugar and more local sources of other ingredients. I was able to tour the original factory several times before they tore it down, and back when you could still tour. Willie Wonka would have been jealous. Huge vats of chocolate that you could fall into, cocoa beans roasting, lines and lines of kisses dipping onto conveyer belts, little old guys whose sole job was to sweep the chocolate up off the floors (it was used for pig feed). That's a picture of the old conche rollers, all those tubs would be filled with chocolate. Now it's all mostly automated. Kisses are made in molds instead of squirted out and no more tours. The only Hershey's chocolate I'll eat now is the Golden Almond Bar, made with the best ingredients . But they're hard to find and expensive, about $25.00. I can get them at the factory outlet but haven't had one in a few years.
you think everything has gone downhill. i mean, literally everything. i've never come across someone who views the past with such rose colored glasses as you. of course they didn't respond to your email. email came into prominence after the 80s and therefore IS CRAP!!!! you need to send them a snail mail, because back in the snail mail days every company immediately responded to every letter they received.
Well if thats it they should just LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!! It tasted fine as it was!!!! (I HATE TO SAY THIS BUT THE NEW STUFF TASTES LIKE GARBAGE (NO MATTER HOW MUCH SUGAR THEY PUT IN IT)) Im looking @ the bottle now and it has BOTH SUGAR AND HFCS (And CS also)
