ok heres my analysis

the universe i guess you could say is doughnut shaped, it spirals the same way lead fillings do when sprinkled over magnets so you could say that if we were to travel so far into the universe then we would only end up going round in circles.

beyond this is like you said "nothing", its hard to have a discussion on what is nothing because the simple fact is that humans dont have the capability of understanding anything outside of "material objects".... sumthing to do with the way the brain works

 

Let me rephrase that: The universe will expand CLOSE to absolute zero. Close enough for virtually no energy to be present, and certainly not enough energy for any new mass to be created.

the ONLY way we are ever going to be able to travel to other galaxys, no matter how stupid it sounds is "particle transportation" where in an objects particles are seperated, travel to given point using a "black hole" style method of warping to another location, and then reforming at given point. that is the ONLY way it will ever happen, no exceptions, Even to make a space ship travel that far, u would still need to use teleportation, or be able to harness the power of a black hole.

heh heh...i had a discussion with my best friend like a week ago...she started talking about how time travel is possible and what the universe is made of or how its made up...it fuckin blew my mind and since i was stoned out of my mind i actually understood what she was talking about...it's fun to talk about that stuff. but only for a while, then you'll start thinking too much...

 

if u know ppl who know their stuff it's awsome having the discussion, and not just ppl who think they know what they are talking about

Thats pretty closed minded man, how do you KNOW that something will not be created centuries from now that we haven't even become capable of understanding, that would be able to transport us across the universe?

 

because it is just impossible, no form of matter can travel the speed of light only energy, so therefor a space ship will never be able to go fast enough to reach other galaxies without some how warping or transporting there, giant space thruster engines in movies etc. are 100% fictious because the only possible way to travel such far distances, is bending space so u take a shorter path than the straight way there.

thats why using a black hole is key, or at least harnessing the power

 

we dont know anything no human does, but we can have a thought thats so close to reality that any differences are not noticeable or detectable. and so figuratively, he knows this.

and on the issue of being 'virtually' so diluted, virtual has no meaning in actualy physics, only in subjectivity of physics. the universe is not subjective, humans are.

you seemed to not aknowlege the part where i gave the idea that the universal gravity of the universe would eventually pull it all together again. by the time the universal gravity has been enouhg to counteract the theorised outward movement of the universe,
the universe most proabbaly would be in this diluted state. but then it would compress again and this time all of the matter is compressing into a single point.

these are just opposing theories of course

 

How in the hell could you travel by a black hole method? Black holes aren't meant for transportation. When a mass enters a black hole the particles are separated then stretched out like billions of pieces of spahgetti. When they reform at a point the mass is condensed into around the size of a pinhead. So from there, how would you travel? Given that you are now condensed into an EXTREMELY tiny mass with no way to expand.

but anyway, to the inital point:
i have thought about this kinda shit forever, and it has grown into one of my burning interests, like i've got a small collection of books on relativity and black holes and whatnot. what is theorized is that space itself is actually expanding. before the big bang, the entire universe was a sigularity (a point with no volume, infinite mass and density), there was no space at all outside of this singularity. now space itself is supposedly stretching out. but what the hell is it stretching out into?... when i talk about space, i don't mean "outer space" or whatever, but actual space. as in the container for all existance. crazy shit. theres alot more to it, relativity, crazy warpage, etc.

and the above poster is right, theres no way you could pop in one black hole and out the other.

and again, i haven't read the entire thing, sorry, i just don't have the attention span right now... so if im repeating someone else, just kick me

Nothing is impossible, there are forces in this wide universe that science still can't come up with an explanation for. I'm not saying the theory you present isn't the most scientificly sound, I'm just saying that there is no possible way that that is the only possible way.

 

what makes space black colored? when you see astronauts floating on their spaceship deals, it just looks like normal clear right? so when does it become black in space? wouldnt it be like being in a pitch black room since there is no light?

 

Black is the absence of all colors, so in a sense, "nothingness" could appear as black...

 

i'm saying that u would have to HARNESS the power which a black hole posseses to effectively travel far distances through space, as i belive this is how a black hole works:

we're talking about a Place with no time, gravity, matter, energy so who knows what the hell it is LOL

 

there is no such place... its all space.
