Yeah it is, a lot of people act like it's our fault that the shelves are getting bare. People cuss us out over toilet paper.

 

I just looked it up, because I couldn't remember the name either. It's called Birdy lol and is from 1985.

I have to be careful on this one, because every time we have chicken for our Sunday dinner, our vegan son accuses me of preferring my birds well cooked.

The day that he walked into the dining room and announced, "wow, you are all eating a dead bird" is one that I will never forget. Needless to say, most of the chicken ended up in the bin.

Exactly. I guess they think we're hiding it in the back. And we have limits on those particular items, but people are still buying 10 and 20 of other random things that don't have limits. It's a strange world we live in.

 

I’ve always been a bulk shopper, even before all this. Now I’m forced to go to the store more often because I can only buy a small amount, which exposes me to the virus more. *shrug*

 

It's just plain sad. And also, they aren't sending out the same amount of stock as they were before. Maybe because there isn't enough laborers? Idk. But I hate having to tell little old ladies that we're out of toilet paper.

And people do buy in bulk a lot at my store usually, even before all this malarkey. But with these circumstances, I think people need to change their regular way of thinking.

But also not panic.

 

they keep saying to stock up in case you have to say in side for two weeks. But how do you stock up when they limit you to 4 cans of this and 2 of that ? I tried to buy some napkins the other day and those were all sold out with all of the other paper goods. I just don't understand why people feel that they need to hoard every thing.

 

They do it just because they can, with complete disregard for others. Sadly, that is the society we live in. It's dishonest and apathetic, and can't survive when push comes to shove, which it inevitably will.

 

Yes people are very selfish, and it becomes quite disheartening. I guess just do the best we can to not become like those people.
