Well Teeman, back to your original post urging us to read the Bhagavad-gita, I truly believe many of us here have read that.

Can you discuss more clearly why you are interested in following this path and answer a few questions?

Like how long have you been studying this material?

How has the Bhagavad-gita changed your life in a positive way?

now you may like it or not like it, but nothing positive is going to happen with you or your fellow mates anymore in this life or in next one. so why bother ? its all scam and you are an sainltly man who is going to very messive hardship with your fellow varna snakars.

but why bother ? just close your eyes and enjoy the wealth and women. since time does not favors everyone all the time. isnt it ?

I certainly don't mind having enemies, but I do require that they meet certain minimum standards.

That's why I ask you repeatedly that give me your oshos explanation or even American explanation which made you kill red Indians and steal their land.

Simply barking like mad dogs will not do, tell us what explanation you have got? Indeed you are lower than even minimum standards. Since you're varna sankars, so how you will understand that?

You've been barking like a mad dog since you opened this thread--telling us all what we must believe, calling us names without reason, and showing us by your own sad example the true meaning of varna sankar. You've made yourself pariah. Your gunas got crossed with your guda, giving you a shitty outlook on life.

Thanks for shifting burden of proof, but it's you who is behaving like an arrogant attention seeking whore. I'm within my limits, if I have created this thread. Than I have done what I claimed in the thread title. And what ever I have done it's all within reason unlike you I'm not varna sankar to defy the basic things.

Unlike you, I don't want anyone's attention. I'm happy as I am, but you surely aren't happy. Maybe that's why you need attention.

I don't want this kind of hollywood Or reality show rubbish or trash talk anymore. I'm feed up from it. You all won. I admit it that I cannot wash the stool. I lost and you all big mouth varna sankars who like empty vessel that makes a lots of noise won.

    Enjoy your stay now.

Assuming that the OP is gone for good, is there anything worth salvaging from this thread? I learned some things:

    1. that Hindus (or at least pseudo-Hindus) can be dogmatic assholes, too. I had previously associated the behavior with Bible thumping, hell-fire-and damnation Christian Evangelical preachers and Islamist jihadists. Who knew Sanatana dharma could produce something similar or worse?! It always seemed like such a tolerant religion--so many paths to salvation, with room even for devotees of Jesus. I suspect Teeman is atypical in this respect, even for the Hare Krishnas.

    2. that Krishnas are so exclusionistic in their devotion to Krishna. As I understand it, Krishnas believe that Krishna is the supreme God, who is served by a host of demigods (equivalent to Christian angels?) But when Christians, Muslims and Jews pray to God, they and the Krishnas are praying to the same deity. Prabhupada tells us (citing the Bhagavat Purana) that "Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa is the original Personality of Godhead." This is a little different from my previous understanding, from reading the Upanishads, that Brahman is the ultimate reality--the universal consciousness to which we are all interconnected through Atman, our real self or soul. Brahman is incomprehensible to us, but the Puranas tell us Brahman has three aspects: Brahma, the Creator; Vishnu, the Sustainer; and Shiva, the Destroyer. These, in turn, have their own emanations, avatars (essentially representations), and/or incarnations (earthly incorporations into anthropomorphic actors. Vishnu's principal incarnations, Krishna and Rama, have more worshipers that Vishnu, himself. The notion that Krishna is the Supreme God seems to stem from the Bhagavad Gita and (especially) the Bhagavat Purana (Srinad-Bhagavatum). The Bhagavat Purana, which is new to me, seems to portray Krishna as the victor in a dualistic struggle between the forces of good and the forces of evil--a la Marduk vs. Tiamat, Ormuzd vs. Ahriman, Yahweh v. Satan. Interesting. I suspect that may account for the militant "them vs. us" tone detectable in Teeman's outlook!

    3. that Krishnas rival Christian fundamentalists in allowing scripture to trump science.

"Srila Prabhupada generally expressed doubts that any rocket-assisted moon landing was possible, based on his familiarity with Vedic cosmography and astronomy, which include descriptions of the moon, its inhabitants, and the requirements for interplanetary travel.

Vedic writings designate the moon as a planet more opulent and pious than the earth, full of all varieties of life, where the inhabitants live considerably longer than we do. Citizens of Earth may go to the moon only after performing considerable austerities, sacrifices, penances, and pious activities—not by mechanical conveyances."

    4. That Krishnas, like some Evangelicals, emphasize One Way to be saved; and like Catholics, view mantras ashelpful in that regard. Those of us who have read the Bhagavad Gita are probably aware that Krishna identified bhakti (devotional) yoga as one (of three) paths to salvation. But the Krsinas seem to view bhakti devotion to Krishna in its nine forms as the main way. The Nine Processes of Devotional Service The Hare Krishna movement is an outgrowth of Gaudiya Vaishnavism, a form of bhakti introduced in the sixteenth century by Sri Chaitanya of Bengal--involving chanting of the mantra Hare Krishna.

So that's my take, based on an admittedly limited knowledge of a religion that is very different than what I'm used to as a Christian. I welcome your comments, particularly if they are reasoned, instead of the invective we've been treated to so far.

I thought you were leaving us. Try to understand that no mature person resorts to invective in place of argument as you do. BTW, check the HF rules. Your posts have been non-stop personal attacks against me and everybody else on this thread other than yourself.

Your every post reveals a person who is ignorant and nasty--the very opposite of the enlightened state you purport to advocate. I don't see you winning over any converts.

but you are an varna sankar, who became very arrogant and nasty in the first place as soon as the name of father Krishna came. and now not only that but you are an attention seeking whore as well.

and no form of conversation can take place with an hypocrites like you. even in the hospital doctors rejects hopeless patients like you. so you are hopeless case like that. and simply meant to be rejected.

but you rely on your parental expert or counseller help, and shift burdon of proof upon me with that dunning and kruger effects which is fit upon the arrogant jerks like you.

you are not even an gentleman but an varna sankar. and only misfortune of this world population is prostitute like you is getting listened. this is our misfortune. but you are an prostitue ( in plain words an pseudo hypocrite ), and you may like it or not like it. but how one can make compromise in calling spade a spade ? huh? you are an prostitute after all.
    ________________
but i dont think that your hunger is satisfied with me, althought i have lost my taste in dealing with some hypocrites like you.

but i do not think that you are satisfied with me like an young girl is not satisfied with an man who breaks her seal. nor she can forget him for the rest of her life. so you will remember me for the rest of your life as well. since i have broken you like an seal of an virgin girl.
