I'm kind of thinking...maybe your clit DOES get hard, and you just haven't been able to quite tell just how hard because the clitoral shaft is partly buried in the fleshy pubic mound close to the edge of the "slit", and also partly covered by the prepuce. Plus, just because the clitoral erection is an erection doesn't necessarily mean it gets just hard as an erect penis might. So even when it's hard, yours might still retain a degree of elasticity/flexibility.

Another thing: the glans penis, during a full erection, is a softer structure than the shaft of the penis itself. The same thing is most likely taking place with the clitoris, too.
