Speech writers are a dime a dozen. The ability to speak in a manner that people respond to is rare.

The emotion he conveyed with those words is what won him the election. People believed he was sincere in what he said and it resonated with them.

 

Yeah, but emotion need words to carry them, and it's far easier to present a well written speech.

I think he was a better speaker during his campaign than he is now. I also think his campaign speechwriter leaving is the reason to blame.

He is an impressive speaker either way.

You would think more politicians would have gotten the message by now. Most all of our most celebrated Presidents were great speakers.

 

Right now his problems are that words can't get him out of the position of wanting to get a second term and wanting to do what he promised... lol
