  1. I have been invited to go bowling on Thursday by a group of relatives and various hangers on. I have never been and need help to negotiate the game without making a total arse of myself. By the way, if I am ever playing ball games, the mantra is " if it's M's turn to throw/pitch just make sure you're not standing behind her!":grinning::grinning::grinning:
Should be a laugh if nothing else:smirk:

The first time, use the gutters. Enjoy. I gather we are talking 10-pin bowling?

Go have a great time, no worries, have a drink, relax.

  4. Yeah, I am rather excited but apprehensive at the same time. There will be two relatively young children in the party and I know enough to guess they won't want me on their team;)

Don't be silly, it is great fun. Just let go of the bowling ball, or you will end up being a knockout.:D:D:D

Never roll your ball down the lane at the same time as the person next to you. It's an unwritten rule. It's also okay to use bumpers to keep your balll out of the gutter. And expect a lot of high fives when you do well. Have fun and enjoy it.

Edited out bowl. I was thinking of something different as I typed this lastnight. My apologies.

  13. You’ll have fun! Take your time and roll it slow.:):)

  14. Roll it slow sounds like a good idea. Then again may not even get there

I was a terrible bowler and finally knocked some pins down by aiming for the gutters. High score: 57...
What's worse is that I worked at the place so could practice after hours all I wanted! Didn't help.
