Hello, I do my laundry for decades now, it's easy if you have black or white clothes only. But now, with the changes in climate, I'm overchallenged. I have clothes that should be washed at 30C. Can I put them on the clothesline if the temperature outside is over 40C? Regards Gyro
Yes you can hang them to dry in any temperature. It just means the water you wash them in shouldn't be too hot. (Not sure if this is a joke, but I am giving you the benefit of the doubt)
Hello, there is no problem with lederhosen. They don't get washed. They need a good patina on it . Regards Gyro
Just don't leave them in the sun to long when it is hot. The clothes tend to "bleach" especially black, you get an orange/copper tinge to them.
Hello, yepp, UV radiation is a bitch. A few years ago a hung a white cotton shirt near a southbound window in summer for two weeks or so. It got slightly yellow. That's strange, since in old times they had special places where people could lay out their clothes to bleach them in the sun. Sometimes today's street names reveal such places. I guess today's fabric is different from the old one or there are some chemicals in them that let them shine white and bright, that get cracked by the UV radition or something like that. Regards Gyro
Much As I Have Enjoyed Replying To Your Posts Over The Years I'm Afraid This One Has Me Stumped, It Appears To Have No Visable Logic, Methinks G.G Has Finally Snapped...... Cheers Glen.
Hello, the initial problem must be fairly common in Awwwstrawwwlia. So how do your guys deal with it ? Regards Gyro
Don't know if this helps but I regularly wash my clothes in warm water then put them in the dryer (which is hotter) with no adverse effects. Hotwater
Did you buy them at a Thrift store or at a Chinese sweat shop? lol... Probably no worse than Ocean State Job Lot Hotwater
Hello, shirts, for instance, I buy from a traditional local manufacturer. But I have to confess that I don't know where the production facilities are. Maybe not in Allemanistan anymore... Regards Gyro
Nah. Most of us down under know what a random thought is. Although, given GlenGlen lives in Bathurst, NSW, he has had to contend with all the carbon monoxide given off by the V8 supercars over the yrs. So that would send him a little
Hello, wow, that is mighty clever. I'm a bit embarrassed that I didn't come up with this idea . Regards Gyro
