That might just be because I kind of know a sort of hot winona in real life.

yay happy thread! new puppies are the best. Your future puppy sounds beautiful.

I bolded the names I like the best. I especially like lava and magma, especially if your puppy is red. I think both of those names would help create a dynamic, fiery personality.

I don't really have any suggestions because naming a pet can be such a personal thing, but I will say that I always get my inspiration for pet names from song titles or literary characters. If you like to read think of your favorite literary characters or go through some of your favorite songs...it might help you find inspiration.

I would avoid three syllable names unless you can think of a nickname that you will use most of the time. I've found that it takes puppies twice as long to learn a three syllable name as opposed to a two or one syllable name.

edit: I vote magma. I thought about it for a minute and I think thats a really bad ass name. Its pretty, its unique, its got a lot of character. I might steal that name from you one day if I get another dog lol
