I have asked about this frequently on reddit but I don't seem to get a lot of detailed replies so I made an account on this forum. Prepare for a wall of text..

To give a quick run down, the only mind-altering drugs I have used in my lifetime before my experience with (what I believe was) 25i nbome was marijuana.

I'll try to make this as short as possible.

About a week and a half ago (2 weeks this upcoming saturday) I took 2 hits of what I was told was acid. Upon taking it the taste was extremely bad and it numbed my tongue for a good 15-20 minutes. I took it with a friend, and just upon having it on our tongues, he was he knew it was not acid and believed it was "the research chemical", or as I have found the most consistent with my experience, 25i nbome. The trip came on within 15 minutes, visuals started slow and eventually the visuals became extremely detailed. I felt lightheaded, sick, and generally bad..my friend puked but felt better after. Within the first hour I felt okay after getting adjusted, I could talk and comprehend what was happened but occasionally my sentences would turn into a blur and my thoughts would just become soup. I had previous breathing problems before this (asthma probably) and my friend light a cig. I started to get a really tight chest and short of breath so I stepped outside thinking it was the smoke. It ended up remaining there the whole night, and the rest of the night I was physically uncomfortable, which ruined the trip for me. To be honest when the effects hit I was ready for it to be over and I regretted it. Throughout the night I did experience small bits of "euphoria" and happiness but the majority of the trip I was physically uncomfortable, scared, and wanted it to end. I stayed with 3 other friends of mine whom I felt much better in their presence. When ever I was alone I had a surge of dark thoughts and became very scared. I dosed at 6pm and didn't fall asleep until 4am.

The next day my mind felt fuzzy and fried and I felt physically exhausted. I slept most the day but still felt off. The next day I felt physically sick and ended up going to the ER because I thought my liver was failing or something. Probably anxiety, because they ran bloodwork and did an x-ray and everything came back normal. The rest of the week I slowly felt more normal however I did experience some strange effects, whether they are related to the drug I am not sure but I never had these problems before. I would have tingling sensations in my hands and feet, and I felt like I could feel the blood pumping through my veins in my legs, like spasms or something. Not painful, just felt strange/freaky. My "Asthma" also seemed to be much more prevalent than usual. I also tried to work out on saturday (exactly a week after) and I became lightheaded, dizzy and weak and my heart was pounding and so I had to stop halfway through the work out. I had eaten food a few hours prior however I never felt that weak upon working out. I felt very weak and like my body was light the rest of the night, I ended up going to urgent care (which is like a walk-in doctor appt) and they said everything looked normal. The next day I felt somewhat the same but upon sleeping felt better. On that note, I seem to feel almost a whole difference of better upon sleeping more.

Monday rolls around and I seem to feel kind of weak still so I go lie down. Maybe it was anxiety or a panic attack but I thought I saw slight visuals and was having a flashback and started to panic. It was nothing major that I could say I saw but it scared me and the rest of the night I felt freaked out and wierd. Later I tried taking deep breaths and relaxing and I seemed to feel much better and normal. Tuesday (yesterday) I went to work and the whole day I felt strange...I had the "brain fried" feeling again, even a week after which is strange. I had a small panic attack while working but calmed myself down and got back to "normal". At some points through out the day I felt normal for small bits of time but most the day I felt out of it, however I felt a little more normal after hanging out with friends.

Today here I am, and while I can function in daily life, I still feel freaked out and not like the normal "Sober". Perhaps I am over thinking it, but not only since I have taken this drug and since my "flashback"/panic attack on monday I haven't felt right. I wonder if I am going through "derealization", however I am not sure. Basically I feel like my mind is fuzzy and it seems hard to relax and concentrate on anything.

I never intended on taking synthetic drugs or the nbome if that's what it was, but I greatly regret taking this drug and I am very scared that I have messed up my brain for life. I was told it was acid and it was not. After this incident I am never taking drugs again, and considering perhaps not even smoking marijuana again (yes I know that's a drug too). While I have taken into account that this was my first psychedelic experience, because 25i nbome and other research chemicals are new, there isn't much knowledge on long term effects or any effects for that matter on what it does to your body. That is mostly the reason I am scared.

My main reason for posting this was in hopes of feedback from other people's experiences or stories...does my experience(s)/reactions seem normal after taking a psychedelic drug for the first time? Are these only selective with this synthetic drug? I have tried to research about this drug but there isn't much information and everyone's experiences seem to be different. The only major side-effects I have read about from people are those who took very high doses.

TL;DR Took what I was told was acid, think it was 25i nbome, feel freaked out since and have had anxiety and still dont feel exactly normal. Anyone have experiences like this or know anything aobut this?

They are heavy on the body. That tingling and veins sensations could be lingering vasoconstriction, wouldn't surprise me. Mostly as orison said you need to just deal with it symptomatically and treat your body well now. What's done is done, now make up for your errors; eat well and sleep well. Think positive and stop mulling over it :)

i wouldn't really use this as a reason not to be worried. everyone reacts differently to drugs...maybe what was ok for you would kill me.

BUT, i think you need to try to get it out of your mind, OP.
like writer said, the numbness and the blood pumping might be vasoconstriction (the drug makes your blood vessels more narrow). it should not be a permanent effect though, so try not to worry.

even if you never had "anxiety" before this....a lot of your symptoms just sound like anxiety. your health is a valid thing to be concerned about though, but you are doing what you can. you went to two doctors, you are getting rest. it will get better with time.

2 hits may have been a pretty high dose. NBOMe chemicals are a lot cheaper and easier to make than LSD (acid).
    an aside:
both are synthetic by the way, they are synthesized by a human utilizing chemistry. "natural" drugs like THC in marijuana and psilocybin in magic mushrooms are "synthesized" inside the plant, utilizing biochemistry.

i have felt (and maybe imagined or exaggerated) some numbness after taking certain research chemicals, but it has gone away.

true (dont be eating 1000mg of nbome cause I could.

He should stop dwelling on it.

Hes got the whole, "maybe I poisoned myself for life syndrome" every time he gets a heart palpitation. This is just the result of having a bad time, and not something pleasurable to remember. Going to a hospital feeling outa breath, liver failure?.. What could your body be telling you? Get some fresh air, drink some fluids?

what made you decide to take 2hits?
did you read on the internet may cause hallucinations for 12hrs ,so why would you double the dose, think you was going to be a hero tripper, now here you are..

you should avoid all stimulants /caffeine, ect..

That sounds a hell of a lot like NBOMe to me. From the taste, to the tight chest, queasiness and vasco-constriction issues. What the hell were those jerks doing? What, anything that's remotely "trippy" these days and fits on a tab is "acid"? I'm glad you didn't have anything scarier happen like so many other mislead people. I've never experienced too much ongoing after effects from 25i, however I had tripped before that multiple times so that probably played a factor in lack of anxiety. Like suggested above, it's probably best to just chill if nothing really physically is going wrong (if the doctors haven't found any reason to be concerned). A healthier diet as well as attitude should clear this right up, so you at least feel you're doing something about it instead of dwelling on the fact. Best of luck to you, and hopefully you don't get fucked around when trying to dose LSD next time. Later, L&L.
