I guess I kind of consider the internet like a second life. What happens in the real world, happens in the real world. What happens on the internet, stays on the internet.

I probably end up posting some things here which I wouldn't want most of the people I know IRL to read. It somehow makes it harder to be open when people I know IRL are around. I'm sure it's different from person to person, though.

i think its an honesty thing. if you say something on here (for example) and Nero reads it and mentions it jokingly or something in a conversation, you might have to explain to whoever else you are with, say like a not-so-pro-pot cousin. i keep HF a secret mostly, it makes it easier to keep it honest. i dont feel hampered by revealing actual opinions to people i have to deal with face to face. not that i dont want to be honest in the real world, but its generally frowned upon.

and welcome, i dont think its very fair for you to catch neg rep. we were all new here once. of course, being new here, i'll wait to pos rep you, you gotta work hard for the reppage. (aka, im of superior laziness at the moment.)
