Hello. I am Wolfie.
Soon to be 57---Gemini, Aquarius rising

in a major metro of the northern Midwest where I am told that tons of "hip" people reside, but being a bit shy, I have yet to meet them.

I seem to be too young to be an old hippie and too old to be a new one. So I live in a commune of one.

I play the harp and paint watercolors and I love to read and I recently discovered Blu-Ray discs and I am attempting to learn French.

I do not watch broadcast or cable tv and get my "news" from the internet "newspapers" and those I find laying about----so I am usually two days behind on the news.

I am Caucasian, but originate in India and have lived in the USA most of my life.

I have no recollection of my first few months of life in India, but I do have a sort of preternatural attraction to things Indian. (excluding most tech support)

I love classic rock and soul music from the 60's and 70's and that broad era of music known as classical. I occasionally say silly things like "groovy" and "bummer."
I operate under the notion that the Summer of Love has never ended.

I recently quit smoking tobacco which is proving to be somewhat difficult.

My hair is rather short and I am generally clean shaven---meaning I shave every two or three days.

I'm sort of a blue jeans and tee shirts type of guy.

Most people, including myself, would label me gay, but I've never really "fit in" with that scene.

I currently do not have a pet, and probably wont again, but traditionally, I've been a cat person.

I manage to get by without working a traditional job---so I don't ever have to resort to pan handling or begging, and my few bills are paid on time, but I have very little extra money for travel.

I'm rather proud of my eccentric, evolving, largish studio apartment. It sort of looks like the Addams Family mansion was done over in a "shabby chic" manner by someone from Morocco.

The only thing I despise is violence. I have experienced such and it did not suit my taste.

I try diligently to take care of the Earth---shop at the co-op when possible---use my own cloth shopping bags when possible---recycle when possible---take my own mug to the coffee shop when possible---use public transport and my feet when possible----still I am horrified at the amount of trash, plastic bags, junk mail etc. that I dispose of each week.

I guess that I "joined" this group to meet new friends and acquaintances, both close to home and those at a distance.

Politically I swing towards the left.

Spiritually, I have no religious affiliation, but I agree with the Hindu concept, that ultimately we (man, beast, mineral, plant, god) are one. I don't spend much time thinking about notions such as reincarnation or extraterrestrials, but I do not rule out either.

I own a deck of tarot cards because I think they are pretty. I know so little about astrology that if you give me your birth date, there is a 50-50 chance I will guess the wrong sun sign. However, I know enough about astrology to erect a proper chart given the correct materials. One would think I might know more, as I was in a long term relationship with a professional astrologer and I live on the same block as one of my states (if not the nations) oldest "New Age Bookstore-Alternative Health" shops. I go there once or twice per week to purchase incense and candles.

Many of my friends and acquaintances would describe themselves as pagan---I describe myself as "pagan friendly."
Many of my friends and acquaintances would describe themselves as Christian---I describe myself as "Christian friendly."

Most people, excluding some telephone solicitors, consider me to be very polite.
