I'm a former member that forgot his login info a few years back. Anyway, glad to be back. I live in the Hampton Roads area, originally from Philly. I enjoy kayaking, fishing and meeting new people. Been lurking for a few weeks now, but finally got some time to introduce myself.
I've lived in Norfolk, Portsmith, Va Beach, and Newport News. Too flat, I prefer the mountains and hardwoods, but great if you like the ocean. VA's OK, but only because the federal government insist they behave. The whole country is steadily going to hell in a handbasket, and I decided it was best to leave the south behind and move somewhere pot is legal. You know, a state where they don't have a history of sterilizing teens or whatever.
It is rather flat, but it's close enough to family in Philly but not too close and isn't too far from the mountains, and has a variety of water ways, back bays and of course the ocean.
I was a member years ago and found my way back as well. Welcome home! I know the song mentions West Virginia, but it's fitting, and the one I pick for you: Take Me Home, Country Road, by John Denver. Glad you're back.
