Well, I'm supposing this is where I debut(?).. if not, someone will let me know.. retired grampa, still married.. non-romantically bi (85% straight) for sure since age 11 but MF only for 43 years (but my bi side is unrelenting and might be winning).. [ strange fact: (actually - knowing my 1970's lifestyle - it's not THAT strange) the very night I met the girl who'd become my wife at a pub in Marina del Rey (Los Angeles beach area, just a bit south of Santa Monica), I got her phone #, and went home with a guy (who also had a gay roommate!) yes, she knew about my dual sexual nature 3,780' elevation on 1/2 acre heavily-trees lot on cul-de-sac just 275 yards from City Hall (but you'd never suspect it!).. on any given day/night I have four or five 4x4, 3x3 mule deer bucks, bear, gray foxes, a dozen fat gray squirrels, raccoon families and a skunk or two patrolling.. dozens of bird species to photograph.. I like hiking, trout fishing, cooking, gardening, reading, getting in car and driving the old logging roads for a day looking for bear/wild horses/deer/great sunsets.. it would be nice to know somebody to hangout with, fish, movie, maybe occasional MLB game in SF.. a FWB would be ideal.. but if more short-duration, I'd likely say yes at this point.. I can't just ask around in a town with a population 1/2 that of a modern aircraft carrier EVERYBODY knows me & my family.. . so.. I actually somehow stumbled onto this site and crossing my fingers..
You sound like a fun person and like the outdoors much like myself. Unfortunately I live on the East side of the Rockies.

Welcome from New Mexico love the mountains. I used to live at 6,800 feet in the woods. Now I live at a lower elevation in the desert, but I live right up next to the mountains. I'm 55 have three kids. I'm still not a grampa. I thought I'd miss the mountains, but up until last year when I moved to the flat side of town, I could be climbing after walking 20 minutes out my door. What kind of birds do you get where you live? Roadrunners are little dinosaurs. I saw a kingfisher once and was amazed at its beauty.. I hope you post some bird pictures.
I thought that our paths might cross stream side some day. You might be a little north of me. My haunts are: The Carson and Walker Rivers. The Stanislaus near Italian bar Hauser and Pend O'Relle lakes in Idaho plus Wolf Creek and Kucanusa in Montana at family gatherings Wally
hey Wally.. you never know.. in 1970s, Lundy Lake, Bridgeport, ExWalker River was every third week when I lived in LA.. hell, we could meet somewhere halfway sometime.. get a cabin for a few days..
We usually stay at the Cain House Hotel in Bridgeport. This summer is not possible at the current time. We just spent a month in Italy in June, and will be in the Moab area in Sept-Oct. My wife and I are avid photographers and add angling as an add on. Perhaps next spring after we get back from Switzerland and Italy. Wally
Welcome from Michigan’s west coast! Like you, I stumbled into this site. I was searching “ Living on a van long term “
