Hello! My name's Paige, and all I'd like is for people to accept me with an open mind. We all have our stories, and surely we can all find ways to accept that. I believe that loving everyone, though hard at times, makes for a better than life than finding something to hate or dislike in people. Everyone is different, and our imperfections make us beautiful. I hope to have some deep, emotional conversations with you all, because though sometimes hard, they are really really enjoyable. :sunny: thanks for taking the time to read this.
Greetings Paige! How has Maine been to you? I've lived there twice and wish I were still there...sort of. I had past stints in Wells (1974-77) and Old Orchard Beach (1985-87). If the money would permit, I would only live in Portland proper now. I'm familiar with about 1/3 of the city at least with day trips and overnight hotel stays.
Maine's been great. Honestly my favourite place to be right now. Wells is actually where I was a week ago, visiting family and such. I go there about twice every year. Love it there..most of the time. I've never been to Old Orchard, but I've heard it's great. Seems a little busy for me though. Portland's a great place to live, besides having some crime issues. Money's tight though, and I can see how it'd be a hassle to live there...so expensive.
I haven't been in Wells off of I-95 (Maine Turnpike) in ages. Our house was west of the Turnpike in the boonies, heading towards the Berwicks. Old Orchard Beach gets too crowded in the summer and dead as a doornail in mid-winter. I lived in O.O.B. when they had the AAA-level baseball team in town, near the high school. Flash forward to today. It's been 1.5 years since I've been in any part of Maine (two night hotel stay in Portland with my brother).
Wow that's quite a bit of time since you've been in Wells haha. It gets super crowded in the summer as well though..which makes it a little less enjoyable. I live in a town called Hope. Not sure if you've heard of it. It's around 2 hours from Wells. Near Rockland..you've most likely heard of Rockland or Camden?
I've heard of Knox County, but not that town. I've never been in Knox County. I've been to Augusta once (2011) and through it en route to Bangor another time (1996). Bangor is the furthest I've been in the Pine Tree State. A friend in northern Virginia once visited the race track up in Oxford County. I haven't been there either, come to think of it.
Ah, well I suppose that's close enough haha. I haven't been out of Knox County much to be honest. I'd love to visit Northern Maine more often, but that's kinda hard considering gas prices. i could always hitch a ride, though! haha
I still don't know how to set my pic ..please help..frazzled brain :-( Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
