Hello From A Fellow Universal Being :)

Hi I'm a 29 year old hippie from rural "red" upstate NY. Not the easiest place to grow up as a liberal.. My entire family are hippies though .. . I've been a hippie from well in the womb, my mom used to sing Sly and the Family Stone's "EveryDay People" and other 60s songs to me as lullabies. My entire family are the activist type of hip individual. I myself fight the good fight (that is civil disobedience non violence etc.) - for animal rights, human rights, and environmental causes. Everyone can and should do their part in making this world a better place or as my parents always put it

- "What can you do today to contribute to the universe? " - which is how I picked my SN here.

I love 60s to now hippie music, art, culture, and almost everything community activist related. I happen to be disabled, and am working toward becoming either a patient advocate or disability advocate.

I guess the one thing I don't identify with personally is the drug culture, I mean I'm fine with it with my friends etc. but it's just not my thing. I don't really have a personal hang up with it, but it's not where it's at for me. I do meditate or do yoga, or pray, or listen to music, or do something new age-y spiritually

(I'm part Jesus Freak part Spiritualist Medium),

and that is my way to expand my mind, just sayin'. That's how I connect with what makes me feel alive, the source, higher power, God, whatever you'd like to call that one thing that makes a human being keep going in life (theist / atheist or whatever). I happen to be a believer .... see above... in a lot of things lol, but respectful of all.
