Well, I'm here. I can't say much about myself because I prefer to earn a reputation and be known by that. If anybody has any specific questions then ask away. What I'm really hoping for on this forum is a little more intelligent conversations than I've experienced on the usual. But I have a question: Are the moderators serious about adhering to the stated forum rules? I've already noticed that some people are insulting others in the most egregious ways, including profanity over the top. It's not that I'm totally against any of that but I would just like to know if it's tolerated here. I also find it important to know the answer to that because on some forums reporting abuses of the rules gets a person in more trouble than the person reported. Moderators sometimes just don't want to have to deal with it. So let er rip, both sincerity and sarcasm is expected and even welcomed!
Some people can probably get away with more shit than others.. Illegal activity and stuff like that is definitely not tolerated though. Anyways welcome .. Hope to see u in some intelligent discussions. There seems to be a wave of idiots lately but it's not always that way.
Thanks for your reply AceK! I'm sure they have to respond to illegal activity as all forums are obliged to do but I was more interested in how they respond to insults, verbal abuse, and the like? But I note that you say that some can get away with more shit than others and that's about what I expected. It then becomes just a question of how biased the moderators are going to be. After all, the mods are just people too. But some forums are very lucky to have an admin who can act in an unbiased way to overrule overly ambitious moderators and hopefully that's the case here. Nuff said. Even that much has been enough to cause some to get a bit twitchy and nervous. Otherwise, I will say that the nature of this forum seems to give it a more liberal slant and that could be more enjoyable than most of them.
