In BC where I live, the Christians banned the local Natives from holding Potlatchs. It is a celebration of giving, where the message is that whoever gives the most is revered the most.

The celebration is a nice idea and all, but I do not completely agree with it. Giving is something you should do of your own will. You have been given, so you should give in return. Not because you expect to recieve something for it. Granted, I do not think it should have been banned, but the idea is a little misguided.

Many say that Christianity is mind controlling. Satan using religious leaders in other countries to tell people that they must starve themselves in order of the sacredness of an animal is mind controlling.

Christ said, "I am the way, truth, and life. Without me, ye shall perish."

 

It's really quite simple you see. God judges everybody. Those who accept Christ's sacrifice are, in a sense, dressed in His righteousness. Therefore, when God looks down upon them He doesn't see their sin, but Christ's righteousness. As for those who do not except that gift, their sins are not covered, and God sees their sin (and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23))

Well what is your study based on, and if you don't believe in to many facts why do you believe you are right? Because most who study that belief system would say that a person who did not live a good life will come back as an animal. That's why India has so many cows walking around. And I can't speak for who ever these Christian are. I could make broad statements like this to, but I try to narrow what I'm saying down to facts that can be identified.

The Buddhist Scriptures I studied do not feel you can go back.
I have not studied the Vedas very much, though since they appear to be the source of the John 1:1 verse, and describe metal flying machines and electric streetlights, and the freezing over of Siberia, they are on my to read list.
the problem is that they are so much longer and more complex than the good book, that took no time at all to read three times. One chapter of the Vedas is 5 X the length of the bible.

His God makes no sense to me. Love is not damning good people cuz they wisely doubt some hard to swallow, hard to follow, statement that they are told to believe.

They are renovating heaven right now, so there will be room for all good folk whatever they choose as a belief. The atheists, Wiccans, Pagans, and all the rest will now have rooms in heaven.

Explain why you would pawn off your sins off on anyone else.
I feel it is very important to take responsibility for you own actions, and make things right by yourself as best you can. Any less, is shirking, and to me, it is like getting someone else to kill your dog, you gotta shoot your own dog.

 

Heaven is a place of eternal peace for believers to go after their time here on earth to be with the Lord. If someone doesn't believe in him, then why would they believe they will be with him? If you do not particularly care for someone, do you spend time at their home? Heaven is the Lord's home. Everyone is sent an invitation, yet not everyone will choose to come.

God shows us in his word, very clearly, how to get to Heaven. That way is through Christ. You can't get on a plane without a ticket and you can't get to Heaven without him.

John 3:3 - The Lord himself says that no one will enter his kingdom unless they are born again.... John 3:5 explaining the need to be born both of water baptism and of spiritual baptism.

Last line of Hebrew 3:10 - "Their hearts are always going astray and they did not know my ways." 11 - "They shall never enter my rest."


Heaven and Hell are choices you make on your own.
Heaven - eternal life with God
Hell - eternal life without God

If one does not wish to know him in life, they will not know him in death.

 

What about jews? Do they go to hell, they don't accept jesus...

 

The Jewish people believe in the Lord, but they did not accept him when he came to earth as flesh. Few people did. According to him, whoever believes in him has taken the first steps towards eternal life with him. They don't believe in him so...
