    I've seen the Garden of Earthly Delights in person (at the Prado, if I'm remembering correctly). It is definitely better that way. I, for one, didn't realize it was as big as it is.

    hi there. it was a good suprise to see you were talking about BOsch.

    much of surrealism came of his work. even Salvador Dali was influenced by him. the little demons that surrounded the carachters he painted remind me much of my own demons. i just love his bizarre creatures.

    i like the Garden of Delights mainly because of the zillion details it has. We can spend hours and hours looking at it and it still has surprises.
    Christ Carrying the Cross is so full of expression, the colors are so dense, it seems to gather all the spirit of middle age.

    Anyways, I loved this thread.
