they've started selling them in a few places in the area (lots of different varieties) and I'm looking for recipes for them they just have such a different, rough flavour compared to modern designer tomatoes

the varieties I got must have just been odd, they tasted kinda bitter and well, just precooked, rough the whole thing tasted vaguely like the stem does...
