I am a edm producer honestly just trying to get my name out there. I just released a album called Chicken Scratch and put my heart into it. I didnt know a thing about making music when I started. I listened to a bunch of Tame Impala, Pink Floyed, Marshmellow and Porter Robinson. I wanted to make a dance album that you could just trip with some headphone on and go to another world please check it out and please comment If you have any advice
that's interesting.... I listen to a lot of trance and house as well as some Porter Robinson, Illenium, and Madeon. I tend to listen to DJs people don't like anymore though. I'm into Paul Oakenfold or maybe John Digweed; though the three names above are also on my iTunes. Do you have anything shorter?
I love John Digweed!! Ill have to check out Paul Oakenfold never heard of him. and ya most of my stuff it on soundcloud as separate songs PooTeeWeet
Oakenfold is pretty straightforward. It's trance, but he's a marvel. I went out clubbing a year or so ago and saw him. I was really impressed with the selection - he played Camelphat's "Breathe" and I forget which song off one of his earlier works for the fans... He was great. Really covered all the bases. I think he has a following, or at least he did, and has worked on soundtracks and things like that - more notably the soundtrack for "Swordfish" if I remember correctly. Here is a link to his IMDB. Paul Oakenfold - IMDb It's a list of accomplishments really. Hollywood was crazy about him; though I fear they've likely moved on by now. Good luck with your music, @PooTeeWeet! I saw a DJ who opens with regularity for Infected Mushroom when I went to see them last year or so. And anyway, I just ran into him on the internet the other day. The point of telling you this is it really is a small world! I will give your songs a listen on soundcloud. Thanks for the link!
I listened to the first few songs so far. I really like it! I can definitely hear some of those influences you mentioned but you also have a distinct sound which is a really good thing.
Hi. I listened to your full set. I'm a Oakenfold fan since Transport. Good job on putting your talents out into the world. You'll definitely fit someone's niche. I'm a recently devoted Witchouse fan of occult-themed dark electronic music microgenre. FLESH happens to be my top favorite and has been for the past 6months. I put that on just now when I was in the shower and brushing my teeth. I'm not the biggest fan of trance but I thought it was pretty decent. I could easily see myself dancing to it at a party tho. Welcome to the forum... but i didnt know it was even possible to have never heard of Paul Oakenfold lol
