It rained heavily overnight and flooded my backyard, including the pathway to my garage. No worries for Barefoot Man!

The water had subsided quite a bit before I took this pic. It was almost ankle deep.

I don't like when it floods. We had a weather system called "el niƱo" when I was an adolescent, and man... It poured! And the water was like that; ankle-deep places. Knee-deep even!

water levels are at record highs around here this year. they actually peaked a week or two ago and are down a bit now, but it's causing all kinds of problems. the beaches are all gone, along with some of the buildings that go with them. and the fixed docks at the marinas are mostly under water.

i do prefer to go barefoot when walking through water, but i really prefer walking on dry land (unless i'm actually at the beach or some place where water walking is part of the expectation).

Sympathies. I am in Iowa. El Nino affects weather far inland.
