heavily accented

californians have accents?

that's kinda funny, because i was just explaining to my mother-in-law that i think that the only people in the usa who don't have accents are californians.


accents i like: russian, kiwi, spanish (spain), argentinian

accents i don't: NorEast American (any of them), french (too phlegmy), german (too gutteral), and oklahoman.

 

There's a new accent emerging out here (california)lately. It sounds like the roof of everyone'es mouth hurts;

" Pre'dent Bush ageed 'at da warin' 'rac will tay sac'fises to win".

Even the people (some) that do the news are talking like this.

It's like everybody's doing a really lame buckwheat imitation, or there's an epidemic of undiagnosed downs-syndrome.

 

Oh and "hello" is now "hellow"

i was being facetious. saying californians don't have accents just because i'm from california.

 

I think it's just that they (we) needed to find a new way to be annoying.
