So glad that you are home again and in good spirits, even though they may not all be of the liquid variety. :)

Be careful with the beers Kenny, - alcohol doesn't mix too well with Warfarin

They WILL be of the liquid propensity wilsjane.
    Namely 2 bottle of beer.
If I know anything of you Will you will likely warn me about mixing Alcohol with warfarin, and I am about to answer Vlads point along that line shortly.:)

Hi Mama. :hearteyes:It is almost 9.00pm here.

The film we are watching is...

This is a really lovely Family Christmas Film
No blood or guts or sex or foul language.
    Very nice!

We have paused it half way through (1 and a half hours long) while I watch a football match which is half time now, so I got on the forum.
Catch you more later's I hope!

Should be okay if you don't overdo it.
And as you generally mention 2 bottles, you'll be A-ok, I'm thinking.
    Enjoy, brother!

Alcohol does not mix well with antidepressants and some pain killers, but I am sure that will not affect you, since depression is not a word in your vocabulary. :)

As regards your medication, I am sure that you have already mentioned it to your consultant and my guess is that he said keep the booze in moderation. :):)

Thank you for your post Vlad.
That is a very nice surprise.:)

Last Wednesday I had to come off Warfarin for 5 days at a daily taking of 4.5mg, and my INR dropped from 2.4 to 1.3 by last Monday day just gone of the operation.
They had no worries about that reading.
You will know that I am supposed to keep between 2 and 3 INR.
During my hospital stay I was put on Clexane which is some sort of alternative to Warfarin, but doesn't require the 2 - 3 INR measurement.
This morning my INR was 1.3 and I have been put on 5mg daily Warfarin starting yesterday, and I have an appointment at my local surgery for this coming Wednesday morning to have my INR checked.
In the meantime I know that Whatever my INR is, a couple of bottles of 4 to 4.5% Alcohol will add .2 to .3 INR so right now a couple of bottles of beers are not going to take me over the risk factor INR of 3.0. in respect of Blood Thinning.

For the past 20 years and in my long experience with Warfarin so long as my INR has been between 2 - 3 I have always found 2 4% alcohol bottles of beer combined with 4.5 mg of warfarin is safe and results in just fine results.

I am aware of course that if I were to have more bottles of beer than that, or stronger than that , then this will likely lead to a further thinning of my blood and would be very dangerous.

I never drink Wine or shorts or any other drink than Bitter Beer.

I do hope I have answered your concerns.

    Oh that's a good movie!
Haven't seen the Christmas one, but A Street Cat Called Bob was good.
I'll have to see that one!

    ..

    Hi sister Mama:)
We saw the very first on as you have and thought it was better than the latest one.
I thought the acting wasn’t as good and the whole film was rather slow and wooden.
Not much excitement in it at all, though very nice and safe sort of.
I wouldn’t recommend it, but Wifey enjoyed it which was all that mattered to me really.

I will likely go to bed just as soon as I can.
    Trouble is.
I am waiting for the lactulose and sena to send me for a toilet jobby! ;):) so then I can get to bed early.
    After all.
    I am knackered and tired!:)

I agree with all your comments.
On my discharge sheet one way and another it tell me not to be lifting or pulling or pushing and no over stretching.
    Not even lift a kettle.
This and generally speaking for me to take it very easy and relax as much as pollible.
This all sounds very good to me.1

    CHRIS:
Open me that bottle of beer.
Do me a cheese and onion sandwich.
Open me a packet of dry roasted peanuts.
    Scratch my back.
    Manicure my hands.
    Pedicure my feet.
    Cut my hair.
    Shave my stubble.
    Clean and trim my ears,

    Her answer?
    Of course I will darling.
    That is not a problem.

Well I told you all what a Spoilt Brat I was in the Hospital.
I can assure all my friends.
Nothing has changed just because I am back here at home! :tonguewink:

    Good mooning all.

I don’t think they could ever take the SOH out of a True Scouser.
It’s our SOH and always looking on The Bright Side Of Life that keeps us going!
I have only just got up at 10.10pm so bloody disgusting really.
I am in the shower soon and then to sort my day out.
But do I ache and pain this morning?
    Too true I do!:tired:
I am very pleased to be back on the thread, because this absolutely proves that I didn’t end up dead!
