Music is the food of life and all of it is good for my health.
I am not going to worry about anything being so called ‘off topic as it happens all of the time here on HIP.
Within reason?
No probs for me.
This thread is very special to me as it serves as a constant rest of my life reminder of all events since I started this thread.
I will be able to look back for years here and treasure how good everyone has been to me.
I still have lots to post here in respect of my progress over the coming months, and I hope people, including YOU of course will continue to post whatever they feel like.

Hello everybody.
This is Boozercruisers Wife Christina here.
I asked Kenny if he would mind if I said a few words on the forum, and of course he said to go ahead.
I am not on any forums or face book or anything at all as they are not my ’thing’ so I just leave Kenny to enjoy himself on this forum, which of course he does.

Kenny has kept me informed right the way through from being in hospital about this hospital thread, and he has shown me some posts, particularly the balloon one!
I just want to say the biggest thank you I can to you all for all the support given him by everybody here as it helped get my Kenny back to me as soon as possible.
For sure this and prayers have all helped him through that operation, and now with his rehabilitation.
He is very much back to his old self already apart from dealing with some of the hanging on pain, and now we can hopefully look forward to a Merry Christmas and New Year.
May I wish you all a very happy best for both of them.

I went to my local surgery this morning in order to have my INR checked, and it came up as 1.6
Of course my readings are supposed to be between 2 and 3.
I have been told to stay on my present 5mg of Warfarin a day which should bring me back in the ‘safe range of that 2 - 3 in 2 or three days.
Of course I never mention booze there, but from 20 years experience I know that the combination of 5mg of Warfarin a day and a couple around 4% strength 500mbeers works for me.
I have to go back in a week's time for another check, which by then I expect to be in the middle of my ideal 2 -3 range

 

The best medication Boozy is alcohol.

I do feel however I do have to point out that I am in no way medically qualified, that's just my personal experience!

In all serous Boozy, you know your body better than anyone else and will know what is a sensible amount is to drink.

You are right.
Particularly under these circumstances I need to be sensible and take it easy on Booze.
I know that a maximum of 2 bottles 4 to 4 and a half % 500ml bottles of bitter is just fine.
I don’t do Whisky or Rum or Gin or Wine or Champaign so keeping to my limits is easy.

Yes I am starting to feel my old self again, but there is still too much pain in the right hand side of my chest to feel completely as I should.

I agree Angel.
Going back to ones birth place is so lovely and exciting.
Christina and I live around 50 miles away from Merseyside, and I have a beautiful Sister who lives on The Wirral near New Brighton.
Plus a rather dwindling amount of friends and family.

Just as soon as we have had our vaccines hopefully nearly next year we shall Take A Little Trip To My Home Town.

On leaving the hospital on Monday I took a last couple of pictures on the way out!
