Say to your medical team - OROMORPH Kenny, but if they do give you that - lay off the booze, because that one REALLY doesn't mix with alcohol !!!

    Hey Kenny.
    I remember that song--
Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life

It was a good one, from Monty Python's
    Life Of Brian.
    Thanks for reminding me!

    .....

    HEY Angelmama.:hearteyes::hearteyes::hearteyes:
I sing that song quite a lot actually.
I find the most spot on wording in the song is this:

    For life is quite absurd
    And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow
    Forget about your sin
    Give the audience a grin
Enjoy it, it's your last chance anyhow

So always look on the bright side of death
A just before you draw your terminal breath

    Life's a piece of shit
    When you look at it
    Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true
    You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughin' as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you

    ....

    Full Lyrics:

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse
When you're chewing on life's gristle
    Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best
    And

Always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the light side of life

    If life seems jolly rotten
    There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing
When you're feeling in the dumps
    Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle, that's the thing
    And

Always look on the bright side of life
    (Come on)
Always look on the right side of life

    For life is quite absurd
    And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow
    Forget about your sin
    Give the audience a grin
Enjoy it, it's your last chance anyhow

So always look on the bright side of death
A just before you draw your terminal breath

    Life's a piece of shit
    When you look at it
    Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true
    You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughin' as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you
    And

Always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the right side of life
    (C'mon Brian, cheer up)
Always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the bright side of life

(Worse things happen at sea you know)

Always look on the bright side of life

I mean, what have you got to lose?
You know, you come from nothing
    You're going back to nothing
    What have you lost? Nothing

Always look on the right side of life

Nothing will come from nothing, ya know what they say
Cheer up ya old bugga c'mon give us a grin (Always look on the right side of life)
    There ya are, see
It's the end of the film
Incidentally this record's available in the foyer (Always look on the right side of life)

Some of us got to live as well, you know
(Always look on the right side of life)
Who do you think pays for all this rubbish
(Always look on the right side of life)
They're not gonna make their money back, you know
I told them, I said to him, Bernie, I said they'll never make their money back
(Always look on the right side of life)

    Frigging Hell  Vlad.
As I didn't know what that was I googled it!
I see it is a Morphine which as you rightly say does not go well with booze!
Thank you for the warning mate. :)
I have checked the pain killing and other medications I am on and nothing is Morphine based, and none warn me off alcohol.
    Thank goodness!:)

It wasn't meant as a warning Kenny, since you indicated you were in pain, it was meant as a suggestion for you to request your medical team to prescribe some for you. Knowing you're also keen on beer, I meant the warning about alcohol as an aside.

    Got it Vlad! :)

The intention of the post was to help me in respect of pain, but with caveats which serve as a friendly warning.
That is all that matters, so thank you very much. :)

As you well know, brother, I always do!
And I know the same of you.
Cruel fate can only amuse us, because what would be the point of crying?
    Laughing feels better, too

    Donald O'Connor!
    I love those old musicals.
That one is from Singing In The Rain!
He was in one called I Love Melvin, and he dances on rollerskates down the steps of a gazebo.
    Wonderful!
    Thanks, Brother!

    Thank you Sister.
I watched it twice since posting, and just looking back at that song and the Charisma of the actors and everything about that film is a treat to behold.

    And this!

You know, I once dated a fellow called Donald O'Connor.
He was a Jamaican, though, and completely tone deaf, as much as he loved music.
    Wonder what's become of him.
Thanks for another great song, Kenny my brother!

    Hi Sister

I do know that you have a great love of music just as I do and I think I remember you saying that you like The Beatles and John Lennon in particular? ;)
I don't know if you know this but there is a film about to be released about The Beatles called...

    Get Back (Great track that).

Well the link below will take you to an article in today's UK Daily Mail and I was wondering if you would like to read it?
I hope that you do! :)

    ...

The Beatles: Get Back FIRST LOOK: Peter Jackson gives fans a 'sneaky preview' of euphoric new film | Daily Mail Online

    ...

Peter Jackson has given fans a 'sneaky preview' of The Beatles: Get Back, the upcoming film, which is set to hit cinemas on August 27, 2021.

In the first look at the much-anticipated documentary, the late John Lennon jokes: 'We're bl**dy stars, ya know!' while larking about in the studio with surviving members Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Ringo Starr, and the late George Harrison.

The euphoric new film features never-before-seen footage of The Fab Four and the five-minute taster impressively sets the upbeat tone of life behind-the-scenes, and will no doubt increase the excitement surrounding the movie's upcoming release.

The Beatles: Get Back will take audiences back in time to The Beatles' intimate recording sessions and exuberate performances during a pivotal moment in music history, when the band recorded their final 1970 album, Let It Be.

The film showcases the warmth, camaraderie and creative genius that defined the legacy of the iconic foursome.

    Nice.
The video got stuck a lot but it was nice to see that they didn't fight ALL that last year.
I especially liked seeing John and Yoko with their heads together.
    A sweet moment.
Thank you so much for that, Brother

    Thank you, brother

I actually never saw that one. I love musicals and formerly acted and sang in many of them.
    Very very off Broadway, though.
I am 5' 11", so rarely got to play the lead

For example, in Oklahoma, I was Ado Annie, the girl who couldn't say no
