It's so cool, I'm watching CNN, all these people around the world are celebrating, they just went to Japan and there was an old Japanese woman crying with joy, the Kenyan's are going crazy and most of western europe is ecstatic, here in Australia people have been calling in saying how glad they are Obama won: a great day for the world.

he is mixed race number 1 and number 2 if we are putting race aside shouldnt he just be a american?
why is it so important for everyone to attach a label that by definition does not define who he is to him??

i would think a african american with a deep rooted ancestry would be offended that people overlook that fact and label him "african american"..

 

He IS African-American number 1, and number 2, we are putting race aside, by acknowledging his race. We're not dividing by using labels, we're coming together by acknowledging labels.

Im SO sick of all this "weve combatted racism! We have a BLACK president! Looks, hes black! We like black people! Its a proud moment for blacks everywhere. And whites!"...Can so few people REALLY see the problem with this? Seriously?

 

So far by his campaign, I'm not impressed. Period. I am honestly not expecting any god long term effects through his time in office. I may be wrong but I'm disappointed. At least with McCain we knew what we were dealing with.

i am soooo happy he won. i had tears in my eyes when he gave his speech last night. this is monumental, and i'm so happy to be alive to witness it!
